As a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Brooke is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals navigating mental health challenges. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to empowering her patients, with a particular focus on military communities, active duty service members, their families, military veterans, and first responder communities. With extensive experience addressing the unique mental health needs of these populations, she prioritizes creating a safe, supportive space to help individuals heal, grow, and achieve balance.
Beyond her clinical practice, Brooke is deeply involved in volunteer work aimed at supporting combat-injured veterans. As the Pacific Regional Ambassador Manager for the We Defy Foundation, she dedicates her time to helping injured veterans and their families discover healing and resilience through Brazilian jiu-jitsu. This work allows her to combine her professional expertise with her personal passion for fostering community and mental health through sport.
In her free time, Brooke pursues her own growth and discipline as a Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt. With nearly a decade of training, jiu-jitsu is not only a source of personal fulfillment but also a cornerstone of her philosophy on the connection between physical and mental well-being. Through her work with the We Defy Foundation and her personal journey in jiu-jitsu, she is honored to witness the transformative power of perseverance, teamwork, and self-discovery.
Whether in clinical practice, philanthropic initiatives, or on the mat, her commitment remains the same: to inspire hope, promote healing, and empower military members, active duty, their families, military veterans, and first responder communities to live their fullest lives.
Brooke is the primary in-person provider at our Lakewood-Steilacoom location, and she is also available for video consultations at our other sites.
